Fredericton Trails

 Fredericton has a beautiful trail system.  My father played an important role in establishing the network that exists today.  He was trail project coordinator for the City of Fredericton.  His job with the city changed over the years and with the vacating of the rail lines, an opportunity to build a quality trail system was present. I remember him ordering supplies and working with contractors, negotiating with land owners, attending meetings with government and the public, creating signage and informing people about opportunities and regulations.  It was exciting to have these bike and walking routes opening up during my youth. I was proud of my father's involvement. I am excited to go to a running race soon on these trails.  I will remember him during the run.
