St. Thomas Hockey

 In addition to the Boston baseball trip, a stand out for me with Dad would be all the university hockey games we watched over the years. Dad and his friend Nick were faithful St. Thomas Tommies hockey fans.  The Tommies seemed to be perennial underdogs.  I remember tagging along either to the Lady Beaverbrook Rink or to the Aitken Centre. The seasons were so fun.  We would follow articles written in the Daily Gleaner about the Tommies.  There was much anticipation for a mid week showdown between UNB and STU of which both campuses overlap.  Games on the weekend were a staple during the winter months.  I remember discussing the highlights on the drive home with him each time. It was about a 20min drive home from the rink. I loved those times with Dad.
