I don't think it's funny

 On Mom and Dad's first date, Mom suggested they drive to her church where they were doing some chalk art.  My father got caught for speeding in front of the church.  To try and smooth it over with her he said "You can laugh if you want" and she replied "I don't think it's funny."  I am here today, so it all worked out.
